We always discussed going to Hawaii and it’s many islands as we’ve heard so many wonderful things about them over the years!
This year, we finally made it happen. After a lot of thorough research and speaking to others that have traveled to Oahu and hearing about their personal experiences and recommendations including our friends recommendations that lives in Hawaii, we decided to stay in Waikiki.
Now, after traveling to Oahu, we HIGHLY recommend this marvellous destination to all as it should be on everyone’s bucket list!!!
We had such an incredible time exploring this what we call haven on earth!!

Located in the Waikiki neighbourhood, these condos are the perfect accommodation for every group, families with children, business travellers or couples. This area is boasting with beaches, shopping, malls, food trucks, restaurants, the Honolulu Zoo & Aquarium and so much more.
Once you arrive in Oahu, the one thing that you will immediately notice is the islands natural beauty! This is what captivated us during our stay! Some of the most magnificent views can be seen from Diamond Head and Kapiolani Regional Park.
The Waikiki Banyan Condos have a selection of apartments available for rent through various sites such as Airbnb, VRBO, Expedia, waikikibanyan.com, homeaway etc. We would recommend comparing the rates for your stay and booking what fits your travels needs and budget.
This condo offers various amenities including an onsite outdoor pool, sauna, bbq grills, tennis court, children’s playground etc.
There’s a fantastic lounge area in the main lobby where you can sit down and relax or perhaps enjoy the sound of the lobby waterfall while watching the many beautiful coy fish.
The staff is super friendly, polite and eager to assist you in any way.
You can take a taxi, drive, Uber, take public transit or just walk to neighbouring beaches, hotels etc and enjoy everything that’s going on day and night!
Tip: Book your flight & accommodation in advance as possible in order to take advantage of the better prices.
We arrived at the Condo late in the evening after picking up our rental which is an essential when wanting to travel around Oahu!
Everything was made quite simple and easy through Airbnb. We were emailed our checkin and checkout details before arriving, along with a keyless entry access code to our unit. Once we arrived, we picked up the parking pass from the unit and parked the vehicle without any issues.
As we anticipated on having a vehicle for the duration of our trip, having free parking and or accessible parking was a must. This unit came with free indoor parking in the building and we had no issues using it throughout our stay.
Along with the parking, the unit had several great vacation items for your use such as beach chairs, floaties, portable cooler, beach towels etc. Additionally, there was complimentary welcome coffee and snacks.

OUR ROOM
This open concept, fully furnished unit on the 31st floor included the following:
⁃ 2 Queen size beds
– 1 Queen size sofa bed
(The bedroom can be closed off from the living room if desired)
– furnished balcony with the most incredible mountain & city view
– Complimentary wifi
– basic bathroom amenities
– cookware, cutlery, dishes & appliances
– linens, towels, beach towels
The apartment was quiet, clean, with comfortable bedding, spacious and just perfect for our stay!
TIP: Take advantage of the free member card at Safeway so that you can save on several grocery items including drinks.
