Astoria Hotel in Barcelona, Spain

When we think of a Barcelona, the first name that comes to mind is Antonio Gaudi; a very famous architect whose work can be seen all over the city.

Some of his works include La Sagrada Familia, Casa Mila, Park Guell and countless other architectural phenomenal works or art!

As art & history lovers, Barcelona was such a magical place for us and anyone else who loves these things. We loved visiting the museums, all of Gaudi’s architectural marvels, Barceloneta beach, the various districts and so much more.

Located in Eixample district, this boutique hotel has a large selection of rooms, along with an onsite restaurant, rooftop pool, terrace, bar and gym.

As this hotel offers various amenities, including traditional Catalan food and multilingual staff, it has been rated as one of the best valued hotels in Barcelona.

One of the biggest differentiators that we noticed was the onsite museum housing works of Catalan illustrator Ricard Opisso and beautiful touches of 20th century decor.

You will find a variety of restaurants, cafés, shops, supermarkets, shopping malls, and so much more!! This district has several of the main city attractions such as La Sagrada Familia.

You can take any mode of public transit or purchase hop on hop off passes to one of the tour buses to get around the city. They do cover all of the main tourist sites.

Tip: If you purchase a hop on – hop off pass in one city, generally you can get discounts for additional passes in alternative cities. Make sure to grab yourself the discount booklet on the bus and you’re good to go.

When we arrived at the hotel, we were greeted by super friendly and inviting staff who were efficient at getting us checked in quickly and into our rooms!

Furthermore, the staff were quite knowledgeable about the sites and offered any assistance that we needed including tickets and tours for tourist attractions.
