When staying in Miami, South Beach, there is a vast array of hotels to choose from.
Some of the most popular hotels are located all across Ocean Drive and Collins Avenue. One of our favourites is Metropole Suites where we’ve stayed a few times on different occasions.
This is one of the few hotels that offers single and double suite accommodations with full kitchen, living and dining space.
This chic hotel is part of the South Beach Group Hotels and is located at 635 Collins Avenue just steps away from all of the action on Ocean Drive.
You can never go wrong with a hotel that serves up elegance in style, gorgeous and incredibly spacious suites, along with super friendly and inviting staff/management that make you feel right at home during your stay. Did we mention the fantastic round the clock customer service desk. They are always willing to help with any of your needs and information that you may require.
“during our recent stay, when we returned back to the hotel in the early am, our room access key wasn’t working and when we approached the customer service desk, they were more than happy to assist and ensured we got back into our room. Now, you’re thinking, oh that’s so simple! Trust us, she had to go up and down 4-5 times, continuously reprogram the access cards as there was some glitch and ultimately gave us a master key to access our room and further assured that the door lock would be looked at the following day by the appropriate personnel. As she stated, the reminder of our stay was glitch free 😊”
THE GROUNDS: 🌴
One of the things that we absolutely love about this boutique hotel is their courtyard. It’s one of the first things that you see when you enter into the property. It has beautiful greenery, lounge chairs, intimate pool and always playing great music! As you walk past this must hangout spot, you’ll see the main entrance doors into the hotel where you will be greeted with smiles and charm in the lobby area.
TIP: If you arrive early, you can always ask the staff to stow away your baggage at no extra cost while you checkout the city, go for a much needed bite to eat or just hangout at the beach while your room is being prepared for your stay. You can always do the same, if your flight is departing later on in the day.

ROOM CATEGORIES:
1. One bedroom suites:
⁃ 1 king or two queen size beds
– walk in closet with more than enough room for your luggage, carry-ons etc. There’s enough space to dance in there 🤪
⁃ the bathroom has your essential amenities such as hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, lotion etc.
⁃ the kitchen is fully equipped with culinary essentials which is a definite plus.
⁃ the living and dining area is quite spacious and complete with a pull-out sofa, TV, iPod docking station and stereo.
2. Two bedroom suites:
⁃ this room category comes with everything mentioned above in addition to the two separate bedrooms.
AMENITIES:
Along with the standard amenities such as Wifi, the below are what we thought to be notable additions that this hotel offers:
1. Beach towels for guests! – one less thing to worry about and pack when heading to South Beach!
2. Complimentary shuttle to and from Miami International Airport! ** – now this is amazing; who doesn’t want to save some cost wherever they can; we sure do!
3. Happy Hour! – the hotel offers all of their guests complimentary drinks nightly between 7pm-8pm at their sister property, The Whitelaw Hotel located at 808 Collins Avenue. You can easily walk there or hail a taxi or Uber.
