The Walt in Madrid, Spain

Madrid is such a beautiful cosmopolitan city with Parisian inspired architecture. Every street you walk down, you are mesmerized by the historical riches and architectural wonders.

There are many main squares full of life with locals, tourists, buskers, an array of shops and eateries. There is plenty to keep everyone occupied and entertained!

One of the biggest things that we noticed is how friendly and inviting the locals are. Everyone is hustling and bustling from one place to another yet all maintain an exquisite smile on their faces.

Madrid is thus far the only city that has reminded us so much of our time in Paris; we enjoyed every moment and day spent in this haven and would most definitely be going back again!!

Located in the heart of Madrid, this modern and urban boutique hotel has a large selection of rooms and definitely gets quite booked up as it is centrally located in one of the most popular neighbourhoods.

Its location is minutes away from the famous main Street, The Gran Via. This is where you will find a massive variety of pretty much everything such as restaurants, cafés, shops, main bus stops for hop on/hop off tour buses, fast food, supermarkets, the theatre, art galleries, Opera house and so much more!!

As we were in close proximity to the main street, we were able to get around everywhere quite easily. You can take any mode of public transit or purchase hop on hop off passes to one of the tour buses to get around the city. They do cover all of the main tourist sites.

Tip: If you purchase a hop on – hop off pass in one city, generally you can get discounts for additional passes in alternative cities. Make sure to grab yourself the discount booklet on the bus and you’re good to go.

When we arrived at the hotel, we were greeted by super friendly and inviting staff who were efficient at getting us checked in quickly and into our rooms!
