Hotel Dauphine Saint Germain in Paris, France

Located in the 6th arrondissement on Rue Dauphine, this Parisian boutique hotel is right in the midst of a cozy neighborhood filled with plenty of old and new charm. You will find yourself surrounded by stone buildings, paved and cobble pathways/sidewalks and beautiful balconies with floral arrangements adding to the ambiance of the environment. There is an abundance of chic boutiques, pâtisseries & boulangeries (pastry shops and bakeries), along with cafés with their patios where you can sit back and relax while you sip of your specialty coffee and nibble of some delicious snacks.  Perhaps, you’ll want to visit the many vintage bookshops and find yourself a delightful read.

We found the location to be absolutely perfect as it was in close proximity to the Louvre, Sienne River, Notre-Dame Cathedral, local transit, metro stations and plenty of eateries. The hotel does offer breakfast (croissants, bread, yogurt, coffee, tea, cereal, fruits) but at an additional charge per guest, per day.

The staff is quite friendly and helpful in answering any of your questions. we found them to be quite knowledgeable with regards to any of main sites and attractions. Additionally, the staff were fluent in English and French which would be helpful to anyone that doesn’t speak one or the other.

As any hotel in Europe, your accommodations are generally a little smaller but nonetheless, this hotels traditional Parisian style decor brings a lot of charm to the place. For the location and price, this hotel is undoubtedly a great find!!

We loved their attention to detail with respect to their guests. After checking in, the following day, we received a pleasant email welcoming us to the hotel and wanting to ensure that everything was as it should be with our accommodations and advising us that they are available 24/7 should we need anything. Who doesn’t love a personal follow-up! ♥️

When it comes to budgeting, personally, we’d rather spend the extra bit on museums, shows, the theatre, experiencing the city instead of just on our accommodations that we will barely be in. The key is that they’re clean, well maintained with friendly staff and location, location, location!!

The check in and checkout was a smooth and efficient process; as we had a super early am flight out to the next city, the hotel staff ensured that our taxi was arranged on time so that we didn’t run into any issues.

Like other destinations, you have resort fees that you pay at the location; here you have local tax which is imposed by the city and collected at the rate of EUR 1.88 per person, per day (dependents under 18 are generally exempt). This is a very common practice when staying in Europe.

TIP: Take a stroll around the block, you’ll find great street stalls, live music, people dancing on the street, charming cafes; all in all no matter what you end up doing, you will have a delightful time!
